What to Expect on Your First Visit to LaVida Massage
Relax! We got this!
We want your experience at LaVida Massage to be as relaxing as possible. Your comfort level is the most important part of leaving you feeling good, so here is what to expect on your first visit.
Arrival
As you enter any LaVida Massage Center you will be greeted by one of our friendly Sales Associates. Plan on arriving at your local LaVida Massage about 15 minutes before your first visit. Once you have arrived, you will be asked to fill out an intake form that gives us information on your medical history, injuries, and allows you to indicate which areas you would like your Massage Therapist to work on/avoid.
Intake
Once your Massage Therapist brings you into the treatment room, they will review your information with you. Make sure to talk to your Massage Therapist about any previous injuries, particular concerns, or focus areas to help them customize your massage. Also, be sure to discuss the type of pressure that you would like with your massage. Please note all service times include 10min. for dressing and consultations.
With this information, your Massage Therapist will create a custom massage for you, utilizing different modalities to ensure that you get the most benefit from your massage.
Your Massage Therapist will then leave the room allowing you to undress to your comfort level and lay on the table underneath a top sheet.
During Your Massage
Relax, you are in good hands! Feel free to talk as little or as much to your Massage Therapist as you would like throughout your service. During your service, your Massage Therapist will only uncover the areas of your body they’re working on. Make sure to communicate with your Massage Therapist if you would like more or less pressure and if there are spots that you may not have noticed before that you would like them to pay more or less attention to.
Your Massage Therapists may utilize a range of therapies and techniques, depending on your needs and their specialties to customize your massage. It’s ok if you doze off! Your Massage Therapist will gently wake you when your session is over or when it is time to change position.
The room will be warm, quiet, and filled with soothing music. An unscented, hypoallergenic body lotion will be used to ease the friction between your body and the hands of your Therapist.
Post Massage
Once your massage is completed, your Massage Therapist will leave the room while you are dressing. Take your time and move slow, your body is relaxed and you may be in a “massage haze”! Your Massage Therapist will be waiting outside your room to give you any follow-up information you may need. If you are happy with your experience, gratuities are appreciated!
It is important to stay hydrated after a massage, so drink plenty of fluids and enjoy your post-massage feeling!
